Children's Orthodontic Treatment

The right orthodontic treatment plan can help your child enjoy not only a more self-confident smile, but improved oral health and quality of life as well! We will screen younger patients for potential orthodontic problems as they grow up and can get them started with traditional braces at the right time. Options like Invisalign are also available for more image-conscious teenagers.
Dental Sealants

Children are at a high risk of developing cavities due to the fact that they’re still learning how to effectively brush and floss their teeth. They may also love to snack on carb-heavy foods like graham crackers or potato chips, which can also lead to decay. In these situations, we can help protect your little one’s teeth with dental sealants. These are clear coatings that we brush over the top biting surface of molars to cover their crevices, which food can easily get stuck in, providing them with umbrella-like protection from cavities.
Alternative Fluoride Treatment

Silver diamine fluoride is an FDA-approved treatment that not only arrests small cavities without the need for a filling in some cases, but also protects the affected tooth from future threats of decay. It’s 100 percent pain-free and fast – we will simply brush the silver diamine (which is responsible for arresting the cavity) fluoride (which is responsible for protecting the tooth) over your child’s tooth, and that’s it! No fillings needed!
Athletic Mouthguards/ Sportsguards

If your child participates on a local sports league or their school’s team, consider investing in a protective athletic mouthguard. At Bartlett Dental Specialists, we custom-craft ours to fit ideally within your child’s mouth for maximum comfort and protection. They’re made from easy-to-clean, cushioning acrylic to drastically reduce your child’s chances of needing an urgent and unexpected trip to the emergency dentist.
Special Needs Children’s Dentistry

Pediatric dentists regularly work with children with special needs. Whether your child has a developmental or physical disability, our team at Bartlett Dental Specialists is here to make sure they have the best experience and can’t wait to come back! Our friendly, considerate team is happy to meet your child’s needs in every way we can to both ensure that their oral health remains on the right track and that they have positive early visits to the dental office!
Lip & Tongue Treatment (Frenectomies)

Lip and tongue ties are common conditions that are typically diagnosed during infancy or in the toddler years. When the small bands of tissue (frenum) that connect the lips to the gums and the tongue to the floor of the mouth are too thick or long, it can limit your baby’s oral mobility, making it difficult for them to nurse, speak, or even sleep. To address this concern, our pediatric dentist offers laser frenectomies, which involve removing the overgrown soft tissue to provide them with full oral function.
Pulp Treatment

Is your child complaining of a sudden toothache? This could be a sign of an infection that has found its way into the inner chamber of their tooth, impacting the pulp within, which is a small cluster of soft tissue and nerves. To erase their pain and prevent the infection from spreading, our team can remove the damaged part of the pulp and protect their tooth with a dental crown, preventing premature tooth loss and possible orthodontic problems in the future.
